MarshWagner is the Tunnel-Geo Task Leader for the design team led by Stantec.  Our scope of services includes preliminary and detailed design of the geotechnical engineering, field and lab work, geologic investigations and mapping including hydrogeologic field and interpretive work, and the reporting thereof (GBR, GDR, GIR).

The project scope consists of construction of a 13,000 LF 10-foot diameter tunnel through shales with gas present.

Three Rivers Protection and Overflow Reduction Tunnel (3RPORT) Construction Contract Management Services

Fort Wayne, Indiana

MarshWagner is serving as the Tunnel Schedule and Claims Management Lead for the Construction Contract Management team led by Jacobs Engineering (formerly CH2M).  We are also supporting construction management of the tunnel and drop shafts, Risk Management, Safety, Project/Document Controls, Public Information and Education and providing Tunnel technical consulting.

The project scope includes construction of a 24,500 LF segment-lined CSO rock tunnel with minimum finished diameter of 16-ft constructed at an average of 200 feet in depth through dolomitic limestone.

The scope also includes seven drop shafts, six adits, a 68-foot diameter work shaft and 25-foot diameter retrieval shaft.

Blacklick Sanitary Sewer Tunnel Professional Construction Management (PCM) Services

Columbus, Ohio

MarshWagner is providing the Deputy Construction Manager and Technical Specialist for this 14-ft excavated, 12-ft final segment lined mixed condition tunnel.  The tunnel will traverse rock, glacial soils, and mixed face conditions through its 23,000 LF.

The project also consists of 4 shafts and several drop structures, including a large baffle drop at the upstream terminus of the sewer.

MarshWagner team members also previously served as the Tunnel Design Lead for Preliminary Design thru 80% of Final Design on this project.

Moler Street Overflow Intercepting Sewer

Columbus, Ohio

MarshWagner is serving as the Geo/Tunnel Manager and Designer for this 72-inch overflow intercepting sewer to be tunneled along West Moler Street from Front Street to the OARS Shaft 3 connection structure. This sewer will traverse four railroad tracks, along a one-lane road with limited access in the Downtown/German Village area. The sewer is expected to be tunneled at approximately 35-70 feet deep.
